Corona Regional Medical Center Named Best Maternity Hospital 2021 by Newsweek in Partnership With The Leapfrog Group
On February 16, 2021, Newsweek released its annual list of the best maternity hospitals in the U.S., which includes 217 hospitals across 36 states. Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC) was named a Best Maternity Hospital and is one of the 217 recognized. Newsweek partnered with The Leapfrog Group to compile the list of hospitals that demonstrate excellence in maternity care. To be considered for the list, hospitals had to demonstrate they meet Leapfrog’s standards for excellence in maternity care.
Corona Regional Medical Center was also recognized by the Blue Cross® and Blue Shield® Association as a Blue Distinction® Center for Maternity Care for the 5th year in a row, and for the 2nd year in a row CRMC was listed on the California Hospital Compare Maternity Care Honor Roll.
Corona Regional Medical Center CEO Mark Uffer stated, "I am very proud of the Maternity Program at Corona Regional and the staff who work so diligently on a daily basis. Their efforts at promoting quality outcomes and safe care for our patients makes a measurable difference for the consumer."
Corona Regional Medical Center Assistant Chief Nursing Officer Michelle Hook added, "We are humbled and honored to be recognized by Newsweek as one of the 2021 Best Maternity Hospitals. Our staff takes great pride in delivering exceptional care to the community. Our Maternal Child Health staff and physicians are dedicated to providing safe patient care that exceeds the national benchmarks for perinatal quality metrics.
